Join Ali for a gluten free picnic in Central Park!
Sunday, September 14th @ 1:00-3:30pm
Central Park, The Great Lawn
Gather by 1:15pm near the South Gate House (at the Shuman Running Track — between 85th & 86th on the east side of the park), and we’ll head to the Great Lawn together to find the perfect spot!
Strap in for an afternoon of fun conversation, games (we promise only one or two ice breakers lol), and most importantly, a chance to connect with others in our gluten free community.
This casual picnic is a bring your own blanket & GF food event (though not a potluck!). Please bring something from home or arrive early to grab something delicious from one of the MANY gluten free eateries in the neighborhood.
Grab a slice at Modern Bread & Bagel or a mini bundt cake from By the Way bakery on Lexington, or a sandwich at No Glu on Madison. And seriously, who could turn down the viral frozen hot chocolate from No Glu’s sister shop Glacé just a few doors down?!
For those looking for more options, there is a Whole Foods on 3rd Ave between 87th St & 88th St and several grocery stores around the neighborhood to choose from!
Be prepared for warm weather! This event will be rescheduled if there is a heat wave or rain.
We also want to make a note that it is still tick season and NYC parks are no exception! Feel free to wear high socks or long pants to protect yourself, and make sure to always check for any hitchhikers after the event.
Note: while we normally collect $4 per person for Meetup dues, this event is FREE to attend, and a contribution to dues is optional.
